Small-Flowered Eucrypta

Natural History

Small-Flowered Eucrypta is a member of the Waterleaf Family. The plant grows to 10 inches in height and has dark green, prickly leaves that clasp the plant's stem to 2 inches in length. The plant typically grows in shady and grassy areas at elevations below 4000 feet.
 

The prickly stems of the Small-Flowered Eucrypta will stick to your hand if touched.

Small-Flowered Eucrypta blooms between February - May and produces a blue or white bell-like flower with 5 joined petals to 0.5 inches in width which droops towards the ground.
