Largeflower Stork's Bill

Natural History

Largeflower Stork's Bill is a member of the Geranium Family. The plant grows to 2 feet in height and has green, 3 -lobed leaves that grow to 2 inches in length. The plant typically grows on gravelly flats, bajadas, roadsides, and along washes in desertscrub and desert grassland at elevations between 2100 - 4700 feet.
 

The seed pod of the plant resembles a Stork's Bill .

Largeflower Stork's Bill bloom between February - April and produces purple to magenta flowers with 5 petals to 1 inch in width.
