Lady Fern

Natural History

Lady Fern is a member of the Fern Family. The fern has dark green leaflets which have ridges along the edges and grow in pairs. Fronds grow to 3 feet in length and grow in a circular cluster. Lady ferns prefer moist, shady areas and grow at elevations between 7000 - 9500 feet in Arizona.

Ferns reproduce by spores which are located on the underside of the fern fronds.
